No-one should be excluded from the experience of live performance because of their income, background or physical ability.

Every year Oxford Playhouse runs social and educational events, organises work experience, offers bursaries, and hands out over 2,000 free tickets, via local charities, organisations and community groups, to people who are less fortunate than others.

Every year we need to raise £50,000 to do this.

As we recover from the pandemic, and our communities continue to struggle with social isolation, shrinking horizons, the rising cost-of-living, and disrupted education, a donation to our OPen House fund will ensure that we can continue to engage proactively with the most disadvantaged groups in Oxford and the surrounding county.

With your help we can offer bursary places to young people to attend our youth theatre, run activities for the later-in-life through our Social Thursdays programme, offer work experience places through our partner Yellow Submarine, and ensure that through our community ticket scheme everyone, young and old and every age between, has the opportunity to experience the magic of theatre, and enjoy live performance entirely free of charge.

I can’t thank you enough for giving the families an opportunity to access the Playhouse and the chance for their children to take part in something others may take for granted.
