Who can apply?

Circuit Breaker is open to applications from performing arts companies based in Oxfordshire that are led by a person or people from the Global Majority and want to develop a new or existing show over the next 18 - 24 months.

Company: you can be a company or an individual who works with a group of people to make work. We will not consider applications by people who make work as solo artists.

Oxfordshire-based: You or your company is based in Oxfordshire.

Global-majority led: We use the term Global Majority here to refer to people who are Black, Asian, Brown, African, of dual-heritage, indigenous to the global south and/or people who have previously been referred to as ethnic minorities, representing over 80% of the world’s population. We are seeking applications from companies who are led by a person or people from the global majority.

Please note: This scheme is not aimed at supporting a new company. It is for a company that has already made work, and the support offered would take them to the next level. This scheme is not a training scheme for artists/companies starting out.
How do I apply?

Applications have now closed. We will be in touch with those who have been shortlisted soon.
