Acclaimed actor Nathaniel Parker will perform The Waste Land alongside Eliot's celebrated The Love Songof J. Alfred Prufrock. Reflecting on the work, Nathaniel was lucky enough to read The Waste Land at the Cheltenham Literature Festival and fell in love with it. A passionate advocate for poetry, he regularly shares readings with audiences through his popular Instagram account.
The performance is directed by Giles Taylor, actor, director, author and classicist. Having worked alongside Nathaniel on stages from Stratford and Chichester to London and Broadway, Giles will guide audiences through the poem's many layers, illuminating the references, themes and ideas that continue to fascinate readers more than a century after its publication.
