Our Playhouse Playmaker scheme, led by Clare Bayley (The Container, The Enchantment, Gabriel), provides year-long mentorship to six early-career professional playwrights, supporting them in creating their next full-length play through a programme of workshops and dramaturgy.

Presenting their bold, original ideas, this Playhouse Playmaker Showcase shares script-in-hand performances of extracts from work created by our cohort across the last year. An exciting variety in both style and content, our showcase provides an opportunity to get to know the work and voices of our six playwrights, and the worlds which have inspired them to write for theatre.

There will be an opportunity to meet and provide feedback to our six writers at the end of the Showcase, as they continue to develop their plays beyond the scheme.
