Patron levels comprise a benefits value which details the actual costs to the charity of providing those benefits. We use a third-party payment provider, GoCardless, to process direct debit payments securely. GoCardless complies with the relevant protection laws and regulations to protect your personal information. GoCardless is responsible for the secure handling of your data in accordance with their own privacy policy which can be found: https://gocardless.com/privacy/

If you have any questions regarding your Direct Debit or to request it's termination please contact finance@oxfordplayhouse.com. Please note we need 10 days to implement a cancellation, if a payment is scheduled within this time it will still be processed.

1. Membership Duration & Benefits

• A Patrons membership is valid for one year from the purchase date for annual membership and for one month if paid monthly.

• Benefits apply to events scheduled after expiry but cannot be used or claimed beyond the expiry date.

• Membership benefits activate within 72hrs for bookings and on the website. A welcome email follows within a few days, and a membership card/pack is posted within seven days. If not received, contact development@oxfordplayhouse.com.

2. Membership Payments & Renewals

• Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable, including renewals and gift memberships.

• Auto-renewals can be cancelled in your account or by emailing development@oxfordplayhouse.com before expiry. No retrospective refunds are issued after renewal.

• Auto-renewals use Continuous Authority, a recurring card payment system. If card details change or expire, an update is required.

3. Priority Booking & Discounts

• Some events may not offer priority booking, discounts, or waived fees.

• Ticket availability for patrons during priority booking may be capped.

• Patrons can purchase up to two discounted tickets per eligible event (one for themselves, one for a guest). Additional priority booking tickets are available at full price and may have quantity limits.

• Membership discounts apply only to full-price tickets and exclude lower-tier price bands. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers.

• Discounted tickets are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

4. Exclusive Patron Benefits

• Invitations to at least two exclusive events annually. Alternative options may be offered if unavailable, but this is not guaranteed.

• Pre-show and interval access to The Lucy Group Patrons Room (subject to availability).

• Acknowledgment in Oxford Playhouse brochures, website, programs, and foyer. Patrons may opt out by contacting development@oxfordplayhouse.com.

• Gold Patrons Only:

• Personalized seat plaque in the auditorium (duration confirmed upon joining).

• Season briefing with the Artistic Director/CEO (or, in exceptional cases, a senior representative).

• Access to House Seats for sold-out performances (subject to availability), please request these by emailing development@oxfordplayhouse.com or contacting the Box Office on 01865 305 305 if urgent.

5. Membership Usage & Restrictions

• Patrons must present a valid membership card to access benefits in the venue.

• A 10% discount applies at Oxford Playhouse bars (excludes merchandise, programmes, and catering).

• A 10% discount is available for selected courses (valid only for the patron; can be used for a child’s booking).

• Patrons are exempt from transaction fees, exchange fees and resale fees when they are the lead booker.

• Memberships are for individual use only and not for businesses or organizations.

6. Amendments & Cancellations

• We reserve the right to amend or withdraw benefits, discounts, and offers at any time.

• Memberships may be cancelled without refund if terms are violated.

7. Third-Party Offers

• Partner organisation discounts are subject to change and are not guaranteed.

• We present offers accurately, but partner organisations control specific terms and may modify or withdraw them.

8. Data Protection

• Oxford Playhouse processes personal data in compliance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Refer to our Privacy Notice for full details.

9. Gift Aid & Donations

• Patrons' membership includes a benefits value representing the cost to the theatre.

• Any amount given above the benefits value is a voluntary donation and may be eligible for Gift Aid.

• We may contact you regarding Gift Aid declarations.
