Shani is an Israeli actor and trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Her stage credits include: Shylock in The Merchant of Venice (RSC), Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Southbank Centre); Olivia in Twelfth Night (Moving Stories at The Minack); The Protagonist in Turn Right, Turn Left (Fleet Street Theatre, Hamburg); Herself and Nasim in Others (The Paper Birds Theatre Company, Nationwide); Antonia in The Open Couple (Mazi Theatre); The Narrator in And Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out (.dash Theatre, Nationwide); Orestes Rexamined (Southwark Playhouse).

Screen credits include: series regular on Pandora (CW/SyFy) The Little Drummer Girl (BBC/AMC); The Honourable Woman (BBC), Silent Witness (BBC), and American Assassin (CBS/Lionsgate).

Alongside her work as an actor, Shani is a writer and director. Selected credits include: Old Red Lion, New Tower Theatre, Theatre 503; as Associate Director: Southwark Playhouse, the Yard. She is an Associate Artist for BOLD Theatre and a member of the Lincoln Centre's Directors Lab.
