Reece Connolly
Reece is a writer and performer living in East London, originally from the North East. Their work usually riffs off the genres they love - sci-fi, fantasy, and horror - but framed through a queer, working-class perspective.
Reece was the Customs House inaugural Young Writer-in-Residence 2018, and recipient of the Live Theatre's Elevator bursary in 2023. He's also had work produced and performed at theatres including The Pleasance, Old Red Lion, The Bunker and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
They also work a lot within the worlds of drag and cabaret, including as co-producer and emcee of the cult hit, 'Doctor Who'-inspired Gallifrey Cabaret - and are interested in how to bring elements of these into more traditional, conventional theatrical concepts and spaces.
