Ben Newman trained on Mountview’s MA in Theatre Directing and is the current Resident Director at Oxford Playhouse and Magdalen College School. 

His current projects include The Orchardist by Madeleine Farnhill (Edinburgh Fringe), and Twelfth Night (UK/Ireland Tor). He will be taking over as Director of Drama at Magdalen College School in September. 

Directing credits include: Playhouse Playmaker Showcase 2026, Primary Playmaker Showcase 2025 & 2026(Oxford Playhouse). Marmaduke, Macbeth, Bugsy Malone, Constellations (MCS Drama). Much Ado About Nothing(Off the Ground Tour), Moderation (Greenwich Theatre/Edinburgh Fringe), How to Get to Eudemonia (Mountview).
