Ankur grew up in New Delhi, India and has spent more than two decades doing theatre and music. He played leading parts in Grease, West Side Story, Fame, Evita and Hair, among many others. He was also cast in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding Musical in 2019.

He has had a long stint as an independent singer, with rock and roll bands and as a solo singer-songwriter.

Ankur is a graduate from The Oxford School of Drama and his recent credits include playing Bishop Edvard Vergérus in Fanny & Alexander at The North Wall in Oxford and Ayan Mukherjee in Snakes & Ladders at The Southwark Playhouse in London.
