Oxford Playhouse is delighted to launch its Spring 2022 Season, bringing exciting new productions to Oxford Playhouse, the Burton Taylor Studio and the OP Digital Stage.

The theme of the season is Smile With OP, with the Playhouse encouraging audiences to return to theatre going and share their happy experiences of visiting Oxford Playhouse on social media using #SmileWithOP. Oxford Playhouse is delighted to be welcoming audiences back into the theatre. All performances at OP and BT Studio are now being sold to full capacity seating.

A range of safety and hygiene measures continue to be followed, in line with government and UK Theatre advice, including regular fogging of auditorium and front of house spaces, enhanced cleaning, and the installation of a new ventilation system which draws fresh air in from outside rather than recycled air

Multiple hand sanitiser stations, contactless ticketing and contactless payment are available throughout the venue and staggered arrival times remain in place.

For the continued safety of audiences, artists and staff, the Playhouse strongly and respectfully encourages the continued use of face coverings, both in the foyer and the auditorium. For performances at the Burton Taylor Studio, we must insist that all patrons, except the medically exempt, wear a mask while watching the performance.

Oxford Playhouse recognises that that some audience members may still feel uncomfortable attending a performance which is at full capacity. Where possible the Playhouse will work with visiting producers to accommodate a number of socially distanced performances. Please note, this may not always be possible.

All staff and visiting companies take regular lateral flow tests to ensure no one working on the premises has tested positive for COVID-19 and the Front of House team will continue to wear face masks.

The Playhouse offers a book with confidence, exchange with ease pledge, allowing exchanges up to 2 hours ahead of a performance if a ticket holder cannot attend due to Covid.

Oxford Playhouse will continue to work closely with UK Theatre and SOLT to follow best practice within the industry and will continue to follow UK Theatre See It Safely protocols.
