Oxford Playhouse is seeking Oxfordshire-based drummers and reading guitarists to join the band for its 2026 pantomime, Snow White.

The annual Oxford Playhouse pantomime is a much-loved part of both our organisation and the city's cultural life, welcoming audiences of over 36,000 each year. Our pantomimes are character and plot-led, full of laughter, and feel unmistakably Oxford. We are looking for talented local musicians who are keen to gain experience in a professional theatre environment.

Applicants should be based within approximately 25 miles of Oxford Playhouse and available for rehearsals in Oxford from Sun 15 Nov - Fri 20 Nov 2026, with performances running from Fri 20 Nov 2026 - Sun 3 Jan 2027. 

Musicians must be able to commit to a schedule of up to 12 performances per week, be confident playing to a click track, and be reliable, collaborative and adaptable. The guitar chair requires a confident reader on acoustic guitar and electric guitar (with possible bass doubling). Previous theatre experience is desirable but not essential.
