Job Description

Fuel and China Plate are delighted to announce an opportunity to collaborate with the Touring Together team.

Running from April 2026 to January 2028, Touring Together is a sustainable initiative creating and touring new mid-scale theatre productions (400–600 seats) across the UK. The programme brings together producing partners China Plate and Fuel with five major venues: Brighton Dome, Leeds Playhouse, Oxford Playhouse, Royal & Derngate (Northampton), and Warwick Arts Centre.

They are looking for three Local Engagement Specialists (LES) to collaborate with from April 2026 to early 2028.

The LES role is at the core of Touring Together. LES will be the local eyes and ears, connecting communities to their work. They are looking for passionate individuals who:

  • Know the local area and communities.
  • Can build and maintain connections with groups from diverse demographics.
  • Enjoy talking to people about new theatre and engage creatively with its themes.
  • Can facilitate events and bring people together.

You do not need to have a background in theatre or marketing. What matters is your commitment to connecting communities, understanding their perspectives and the local area, and helping them create inclusive, exciting experiences.
