By Jean Cocteau
Translated by Anthony Wood
A woman. Her lover. Their bond stretched thin across the wire.
In a devastating phone call that spans the length of the play, a woman learns that her partner of five years is set to marry someone else the very next day. As she spirals further into despair, the phone is simultaneously her lifeline and a force prolonging her isolation.
Staging Anthony Wood’s translation of Jean Cocteau’s text, this Full Moon Theatre production asks whether communication barriers can ever truly be overcome.
