A brand new show which sees the now 50 year old comedian back on stage with an exhilarating mix of highly personal and flamboyant storytelling. Age has not dulled him, in fact he seems more full of fire and mischief now than he ever was. He wonders aloud about God, sex and family in a way that seems equally sacred and profane.  His stories and ideas are as full of drama as they are of wit and fun.

The star of Channel 4’s hit show Derry Girls and Live at the Apollo (BBC) and the host of his own highly praised improvised chat show on Ireland’s RTE 1, The Tommy Tiernan Show.

Why does he continue to do it? Because in this age of the collapsing middle-ground, Ardal is forced to saddle his horse one again and ride fearlessly into the culture wars, with comedy as ever being the best eme...

  • Alexei Sayle Live

    Fri 21 - Sat 22 Feb

Alexei Sayle has been performing standup for forty years since the day he invented modern comedy. He’d like to stay at home with his cat but he’s still really funny, dangerously political and wildly energetic so he feels compelled to do a live tour. The least you can do is to come and see him.

  • Stewart Lee: Snowflake/Tornado

    Mon 24 - Sat 29 Feb

Legendary comedian and Oxford Playhouse patron Stewart Lee returns with a double-bill of two new sets, Snowflake and Tornado, performed back-to-back.  Tornado questions Stew’s position in the comedy marketplace after Netflix mistakenly lists his show as “reports of sharks falling from the skies are on the rise again. Nobody on the Eastern Seaboard is safe.”...
