Three evenings of new drama, performed by Oxford Playhouse 12|16 and 17|25 Young Companies, all inspired by the concept of ‘freedom’.

We fight for basic human rights and individual luxuries but in truth we take our freedoms for granted. You think you know what spurs you on but are surprised each time the past creeps or jumps up to remind you why you do what you do and who you are. If the past is inescapable how do you face it or do you hide in someone or something else?

OP Young Playmakers have written short plays exploring the concept of freedom and how we encounter individual and universal freedoms throughout our lives.

A dark comedy about the housing crisis and the lengths one couple is willing to go to escape it. Ollie and Jill want to tell you about their dream home. Some of the things they did to get it, you might find shocking. But they want you to know they did it all for their baby... Filled with magic, murder and materialism, Radiant Vermin is as funny as it is provocative, with a brilliantly wr...

    Tue 19 - Sat 23 Nov

Britain is faced with the biggest peacetime decision in its history. Bart is trying to leave. Mick is trying to ruin him. Terry just wants an honest campaign. The political playground is ripe for competition. This blisteringly sharp new play explores the sense and nonsense in asking the crucial question: should Britain remain part of Britain?
