Our Playhouse Adult Company returns in the Summer Term for another 8 weeks of online fun and creativity.

Using the technology of the Zoom meeting room as our digital stage, our Playhouse Adult Company participants will work collaboratively to devise and perform a new and original piece of theatre using ‘the art gallery’ as a stimulus.

Building characters and writing scripts, participants will become a unique ensemble, given the freedom to explore and stretch the imagination, whilst continuing to develop key performance skills in voice, movement and expression.

Our term will conclude with an online sharing to an invited audience of family and friends.

For more information on our Playhouse Adult Company Summer Term sessions, please email our workshop leader, Jo Noble: jo.noble@oxfordplayhouse.com

Our Playhouse Adult Company sessions take place using the Zoom video conferencing platform. You will need to create an account and download this app onto your device in order to access our sessions. It is recommended that participants explore the use of this platform before the first session. For more information, visit: https://zoom.us

Each session will require a Meeting ID and a password. This will be shared with participants via email up to 1 hour before each Playhouse Adult Company session is due to begin.

To support participants during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the price for the Summer Term will be reduced to £50. (Usually £80). Bursary places are available – please see the Bursary tab above to learn how to apply.

Upon signing up for our Summer Term sessions, participants will receive a link to a digital Participant Pack, which must be read and completed ahead of the first session.

Duration: 1 hour 30mins with no interval

Financial assistance to help you take part

We understand that sometimes there are financial barriers that can limit a participant’s ability to access our workshops and activities, and so our Bursary Placement scheme looks to help those most in need to lighten this pressure. We offer a limited number of Full and Half Bursary Placements on all of our activities each term.

With the strictest consideration for privacy, we treat all applications with sensitivity, and will not ask you to provide documentation to support your application. Our accessible form asks simply for honesty about why financial support will be useful to you.
