To kick off our 80th anniversary celebrations, join BAFTA Award-winning actor, writer and comic legend, Michael Palin, with comedian, actor and campaigner, Sally Phillips. At the Playhouse for one night only, Michael and Sally will discuss their lives and careers, as well as reminiscing on their performances at the Playhouse.

As a member of the most influential comedy group of the modern era, Monty Python, Michael created a surrealist style that continues to influence comedians today. As well as starring in films such as A Fish Called Wanda and The Death of Stalin, Michael is a prolific travel writer having travelled to the North and South Poles, the Sahara Desert, the Himalayas, Eastern Europe and Brazil.

Sally is instantly recognisable as one of the UK’s most popular comic actors having starred in I’m Alan Partridge, Green Wing, Veep, the smash hit Channel 4 sketch show Smack the Pony and as Tilly in the BBC’s Miranda. Sally has also starred in a string of films including Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, The Decoy Bride and not forgetting as Shazzer in the Bridget Jones films.

All proceeds from this evening will go toward The Oxford Playhouse Trust as part of the theatre’s 80th Anniversary celebrations.
