Performance Opportunities

Oxford Playhouse and our visiting companies are sometimes able to offer you the opportunity to perform alongside professional actors on our main stage.  Previous opportunities have included the Community Chorus for Touring Consortium Theatre Company’s A Tale of Two Cities and Spy Monkey’s The Complete Deaths.

There are no opportunities at present, please keep an eye on this page for information regarding performance opportunities, including dates and how to apply.

These opportunities are usually unpaid and for non-professional actors.  Please do not send in your CV, any professional performance opportunities will be advertised in the usual places and are subject to audition.

Current Opportunities Include...

Write a letter to your past, present or future self...

Letters to Myself is a new small scale theatre show that looks at the advice we would give to our past, present or future selves. It explores ideas of self-value, self-reflection and collective knowledge and experience. As part of the project, we're inviting people to write a letter to their past, present or future self. It can be as long or as short as you like and cover any topics or themes that feel relevant to you. Although some of the show is already made, we'll be redeveloping it to feed in new letters at every performance so we want to get as many people as possible involved.

You can take part by posting your letter to:

Letters to Myself
PO Boc 517
Gateshead

or by uploading it on to our website www.letterstomyself.org.uk.

Becci Sharrock, writer and producer of the project, will also be at Oxford Playhouse on Wed 1 March (11am - 2pm in the Circle Bar) handing out free letter writing kits and speaking to people about the project so do come along to find out more.
