Marvellous Inventions Lab Prize Winner

Marvellous Inventions Lab Prize Winner
posted 09 May 2018

Entrants had to design their very own invention. It could be any shape, and could do anything they wanted it to.

We had nearly 100 entries to our competition - It was very hard to choose a winner!

We are very excited to announce our compeition winner and runners up:

Competition Winner:  Ella, 7 years old
Invention: 'The Mega Litter Mechanical Machine'
"It picks up litter with its tail, and when someone comes, it can sense if the person is going to drop some litter. If they are going to drop some litter, the Mega Litter Mechanical Machine gives a long stare and makes them forget everything, so that they do not drop it."

See Ella's winning drawing below.

Ella has won a Golden Ticket to the Roald Dahl Museum, as well as a copy of Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Experiments science activity book, and two science activity boxes courtesy of The Curiosity Box.

Our Runners Up:

Runner Up #1: Maïsa, 11 years old
Invention: 'Excellent Earplugs'
"They filter out unnecessary comments and mean words. They mould to fit your ears and come in all skin colours."

Runner Up #2: Louis, 9 years old
Invention: 'Candy Reuser House'
"It takes candy wrappers that have been thrown on the floor, and re-uses them by filling them with more candy for free."

Both Maïsa and Louis have won a Golden Ticket to the Roald Dahl Museum.

Congratulations to all our winners and thank to all who entered our Marvellous Inventions Lab drawing competition!
