A photograph of a car dashboard showing a tape player alongside a selection of tapes.

A new play about minimum wage jobs, getting older and being reunited with your old cassette collection, from John Osborne, the creator of cult fringe shows John Peel’s Shed and Circled in the Radio Times.

Performed at this year’s Edinburgh Festival with glowing reviews. My Car Plays Tapes focusses on John’s life as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities, and his five years working with Mencap.
