Oxford Playhouse is looking for an experienced, ambitious, and innovative Development Director to join its senior leadership team at a decisive point in the Playhouse’s history.
The Playhouse exists to inspire people and transform lives by nurturing and championing creativity and has a responsibility to help to rebuild a thriving performing arts sector, investing in artists and community projects to reconnect and revive the region.
The Development Director will play a key role in delivering the organisation’s ambitious artistic plans by devising and leading a highly effective fundraising strategy. The role is suited to an experienced fundraising professional, capable of achieving a significant increase in philanthropic, grant and sponsorship revenue for the Playhouse. The Development Director will have the opportunity to build and lead a new team with support from the theatre’s Development Committee.
Fundraising priorities include projects focused on vulnerable and isolated communities; development of an Associate Schools Programme; Access all Areas Pledge; support for a diverse range of artists and diverse led work; and a Commissioning Fund to support digital and live producing aspirations.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, committed to OP’s mission, passionate about the arts and imaginative in their approach.
Salary: circa £45,000 negotiable depending on experience
Full time 39 hours – reduced hours & flexible working considered.
