Ian Hislop and Nick Newman’s The Wipers Times tells the extraordinary true story of the satirical newspaper created in the mud and mayhem of the Somme.

In a bombed out building during the first world war in the Belgian town of Ypres (mis-pronounced ‘Wipers’ by British Soldiers),two officers discover a printing press and decide to create a newspaper.

Defying both authority and gas attacks, it proves a huge success with the troops on the western front.

Following a hugely successful 2016 tour, Things I Know To Be True returns to Oxford Playhouse this autumn. As beautifully touching as it is funny and bold, it tells the story of a family through the eyes of four grown siblings struggling to define themselves beyond their parents’ love and expectations. Parents Bob and Fran have worked their fingers to the bone and, with their four chil...

A twelve-year-old girl sneaks across the border of her own country. Her parents watch her on a computer screen. From the maker of The Price of Everything and Going V...
