Oxford Playhouse's Gala Dinner and Auction is taking place this Friday evening at Exeter College with special guest speaker Miriam Margolyes.

There will be a live auction on the night of special experiences, fabulous holidays and beautiful jewellery and we are also running a silent auction during the evening.

You can bid in advance for one of the fantastic silent auction lots below. Only the bids will be shown - your name will not appear.

TEA AND SET TOUR WITH TIMOTHY WEST PLUS TICKETS FOR THE HANDYMAN

Enjoy tea at the Playhouse with Timothy West when he is here this autumn starring in Ronald Harwood’s play The Handyman (29th October to 3rd November). Timothy will also give you a tour of the set before you settle down to enjoy the show, which looks at justice and revenge in a story that intrigues from start to finish. Two tickets for the show are included together with complimentary interval drinks.

Timothy West is one of the UK’s favourite stage and TV actors. His many stage credits include Caryl Churchill’s A Number, The Winslow Boy, The Master Builder and Henry IV, all at Oxford Playhouse. On television, he has appeared in Bleak House, Lewis and Poirot, to name but a few, and his film credits include Iris.

Enjoy a week’s self-catering ski holiday in a charming apartment in a traditional village building in the fabulous Swiss ski resort of Klosters. Appleton Church Tower has an amazing ring of 10 bells, dating from 1817, all cast by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry; many World Record peals have been rung in the tower. The experience is for two people over the age of 10 years old and includes lessons (8 to 10 hours in total) to learn to ring a bell on your own and then the chance to ring your bells with other bellringers. Delight in the pure pleasure inherent in creating a glorious sound and add campanology to your list of skills.
