Punk Rock
By Simon Stephens
William Carlisle. The world at his feet. Its weight on his shoulders. Intelligent. Articulate. F***ed.
As the end of term approaches, a group of sixth-formers prepare themselves for the end of their school lives. But as the world begins to open up before them, they are faced with the very real danger that it could swallow them whole.
Having received great critical and audience acclaim in 2009 an exceptional cast exposes the violence simmering under the surface of achieving success, in a blistering new play by Simon Stephens, writer of Marine Parade and the Olivier Award-winning On the Shore of the Wide World.

Superb...Punk Rock combines emotional truth and raw intensity to thrilling theatrical effect. ***** Daily Telegraph
OPINION
Punk Rock captivated the audience when I saw it. It's The History Boys for today's generation of young people, but it still has the resonance and power to remind those of us who are a little older how terrifying it can be to be a teenager.
