A Level: Antigone, Sophocles & Our Country's Good, Timberlake Wertenbaker

DEVISING SKILLS
A quick-paced workshop to engage pupils with techniques for making bold artistic choices in the process of creating dynamic material. Pupils will be introduced to a variety of games and exercises, in response to stimuli, which bring pupils' ideas to their feet using a wide range of theatrical methods and forms.

Suitable for: All ages

AN OUTSIDE EYE
A unique chance to give your school production or assessed piece a professional touch. We are offering our artistic guidance through a bespoke workshop specifically designed to engage the skills needed by your pupils for their upcoming performance. Send us your script, or chat to us about your process, and we can tailor exercises pulled from a variety of pedagogical sources.

Suitable for: All ages

CHARACTERISATION
Introducing pupils to professional techniques used to create bold and meaningful characters, this workshop is designed to bring out the creative physical skills of each pupil as they build brand new roles. Using the neutral actor as a starting point, the session will draw on the effects of breathing and rhythm, putting everything into practise through both planned and spontaneous improvisation.

Suitable for: All ages

THE PERFORMER'S TOOLBOX
Exploring the foundation of skills used by professional actors, this workshop draws upon a variety of different pedagogies to introduce techniques and ideas that will inform pupils as they build on their vocabulary of physicality and voice. Students will be taught about the importance of breath, how to engage with the performance space, and how to become an active member of an ensemble.

Suitable for: All ages

YES, LET'S
Seeking to build resilient performers who can be ready to proactively think on their feet, this workshop pulls on the games and techniques of practitioners Jacques Lecoq and John Wright. Pupils will learn the boundless limits of breaking out of what is expected of them, and the exciting potentiality that comes from getting things wrong, in order to develop and build on their own creativity.

Suitable for: All ages

SHOW WORKSHOPS & TOURS
